KURARAY AMERICA, INC. UPDATE ON WINTER STORM URI

HOUSTON – Officials with Kuraray America, Inc. (KAI) have confirmed that the Company’s Houston-area plants have moved into the recovery phase following the storm, as severe weather conditions have ended in the area. The Company is currently assessing impacts and conditions related to operations.

“Our first priority remains to ensure the safety of our employees and contractors in the Houston-area during the recovery period,” said Hitoshi Toyoura, president and CEO of KAI.

Kuraray America, Inc. continues to monitor the situation as Texas emerges from the aftermath of Winter Storm Uri and will provide additional information as it becomes available. Employees are reminded to monitor internal communications for up-to-date information on operations.
